Classic-designed houses are full of elegance and beauty. Both the exterior and interior designs are alluring. This one is a home that was built in the 1930’s.

It has all the charm and elegance with big rooms and high ceilings. However, this house had very little done from the last 90 years.

For ensuring the safety and durability of this classic house, clients called us to help them with the renovation. And we have done a complete renovation.

First, we inspect the whole house to find the areas that need an urgent renovation. We reconfigured the internal walls. Then we install a complete and new modern bathroom, laundry and separate toilet.

We also made the kitchen look new with Caesar Stone top and stainless-steel Westinghouse appliances.

After that, we proceeded to renovate the living room. We removed an old wood fireplace so that the living room will look more alive and modern. In terms of the windows, we replaced its old double-hung timber windows with aluminium sliding windows. With this, it will look more modern. After that, we install all new down-lights and 2 feature pendant lights, all new power points.

Thanks to Zapt electrical Cardiff for assisting us with all the electrical installation in this house. All the plumbing problems are also solved. We complete new plumber throughout. Thanks for assistance from the pro plumb Wallsend.

After the internal aspects, we then go to work on the outsides of the house. First, we re-sprayed the tiled roof and gutters. Then we total paint everything inside and out. We also changed the flooring into new floating flooring in living areas.

Then we put the carpet in the bedrooms. We installed new doors and handles including front and back. Then, we removed 30 tons of dirt and rubbish from the back yard. We then laid a curved rock face block retaining wall and new turf.

An absolutely transformed house!

This was a very old house located in Birmingham garden in Newcastle that the client used as a rental property.

The client just wanted a make-over not
a completely new Kitchen renovation as their budget did not allow for so much work.

Upon checking the area, we started by removing the bottom cabinetry and bench top, as well as other amenities present in the kitchen, like the ancient oven.

Over the years, the sink and the tap had been leaking. So there was some damage to repair. We repaired the walls and reline them ready for the new base units.

After completeing the repairs, we installed the new base units and added the new laminated bench top. We then set about tiling the splash back area with 60mm X 300mm gloss white tiles with new white power points.

We also install a new bench top on island bench and put in a free-standing oven and new range hood.

It ended up a very neat modern kitchen at an affordable price.

This house had an old timber pergola that was semi collapsing and already dangerous. It was also very hot place during the summer seasons.

Instead of it being a comfortable resting place, it was dangerous and uncomfortable. So the owners contacted us at Rook building.

After looking around we proceeded with our action plan to renovate this Pergola at Raymond Terrace. We removed the old pergola roof and install a 75mm thick cooldek all-in-one pergola roof, re-using existing timber posts and beams.

Cooldek is an insulated roofing panel. It provides a roof, insulation, and a ceiling-like finish all in one product. Cooldek controls the climate, keep cool and experience outdoor living in comfort under a Cooldek® roofing.

With this product, we can achieve a slim roof with minimum beams, no need for lots of deep timber beams that need painting, plus no insulation.

Now the backyard Pergola is great all year round and a very usable space for home entertaining.

Limeburners Creek Bathroom

This home was a small, re-locatable house with 2 bedrooms. We recently undertook and extension for this little house to give the owners more convenience and space for their growing family.

First, we inspected the bathroom and planed how are we going to make the most of the limited space. After that, is game on, and into the bathroom renovation.

The goal of this extension was to reconfigure the existing bathroom that includes shower/bath, tiling, waterproof, and pc items. Then we remove the existing skirts to allow for a floating floor.

We put a modern en-suite in using wall hung vanity with china top, fix frame less glass shower screen, back to wall toilet, use 600 x 300mm gloss white rectified tiles with grey grout.

Zapt electrical installed in-cased LED down-lights including 4 lights in the existing house and 2 new fans.

The clients were extremely pleased with the result, time frame, and cost.

Previously we added on a huge extension of 6m X 7.2m. This extension gave them an additional master bedroom with en-suite and a lounge room.
