My Name is Andrew Rook, born and bred Novocastrian. I started in the building industry after completing year 11 in 1990 then started as an apprentice bricklayer in 1991.
I finished my apprenticeship in 1996 were I then worked alongside a builder for several year building architect design homes. Performing tasks like tying steel, pouring concrete, standing frames and trusses, laying bricks, installing windows, doors and plastering.
I then worked in a partnership and as a sole trader bricklaying for 3 years, after that I work for a company assisting in building houses but primarily maintenance work which included many bathroom renovations.
I was made redundant at the beginning of 2016 which is when I started my own building business that I’m now in partnership with my wife Kerrina who looks after the administration and marketing (and our 2 young boys).
