This one was a total mess to start with. 90% of the tiles had fallen of the wall and the vanity had fallen apart.
The roof had a real nice skylight (not really!) It was literally a hole in the ceiling and roof that you could see the stars at night and even had a water feature when it was raining,
With the client being an elderly gentleman the shower over the bath was near impossible for him to get into. He really needed help with his situation, so we got to work.
We started by stripping the room totally and patching the roof and installing a new ceiling. We made it a walk-in shower (no door or hob) frame-less glass shower panel, no bath.
The shower is hand held on a rail which also acts as a grab-rail along with a horizontal grab rail and a flick mixer, giving him easy access.
We also installed a shaving cabinet for extra storage above a new wall-hung vanity with a China top. We added a flick mixer to the vanity and all soft close doors, thus making life easier for him.
In the ceiling we fitted new 3-in-1 down-lights over vanity.
We also installed a new back-to-wall toilet (this is were you don’t see the trap or stop clock) which is now a nice clean finish with nowhere for dust to collect.
We also painted the walls (not tiled) and ceiling with a semi-gloss white to make cleaning easier.
The clients life is much so much easier now thanks to the new disable bathroom in his home in Charlestown South.
