Edgeworth Bathroom Renovation Newcastle

This client needed an immediate bathroom makeover. The old bathroom was dated and in need of an overhaul.

After an initial consultation, we handed them some drawings of the proposed bathroom, to lay it all out clearly for the client.

They were impressed with the design and the quote and we proceeded with the re-model.

To begin with, we ripped up all the old floors and walls with our initial demo of the site. The bathroom was fitted with full wall-to-ceiling tiling that gave a great impression.

As part of the project, we added a feature tiled shampoo shelf and some matt black fittings. Other features include a wall-mounted fold-down shower seat and a back-to-wall rimless toilet.

The 1200mm mirrored shaving cabinet with External & Internal Polyurethane Soft Close Hinge and Glass Shelf was installed.

This was followed by a 1200mm Slim China Top. The cabinets had Finger Pull gloss white soft close doors. A frameless walk-in shower was installed.

The customer was very happy with the final bathroom and would recommend Rook Building to their friends.

The classic-designed house can be full of charm, however, nothing is charming about a 1930’s bathroom. For this reason, the clients called us to help them with the renovation.

First, we inspected the areas that need urgent renovation. We gutted and then reconfigured the internal walls. Then we install a complete and new modern bathroom, laundry and separate toilet.

Thanks to Zapt Electrical Cardiff for assisting us with all the electrical installation in this house. All the plumbing problems are also solved. We complete new plumber throughout. Thanks for the assistance from the Pro Plumb Wallsend.

Transforming a Dated Mayfield Bathroom

This Mayfield residence initially had an outdated bathroom setup, with a toilet located in the laundry room containing asbestos.

To modernise the space, we embarked on a comprehensive renovation project. By knocking down a wall, we combined the separate areas into one spacious bathroom, seamlessly integrating the laundry and wardrobe spaces.

The bathroom’s new look features glossy white 300mm x 600mm wall tiles in a brick pattern, extending 2 meters high.

Complementing this, we installed sleek grey 300mm x 300mm floor tiles.

Additionally, we incorporated a freestanding bathtub, an in-wall cistern, and a walk-in shower area for easy accessibility.

Through thoughtful design and meticulous execution, we transformed this dated bathroom into a modern, open, inviting space.

This one was a total mess to start with. 90% of the tiles had fallen of the wall and the vanity had fallen apart.

The roof had a real nice skylight (not really!) It was literally a hole in the ceiling and roof that you could see the stars at night and even had a water feature when it was raining,

With the client being an elderly gentleman the shower over the bath was near impossible for him to get into. He really needed help with his situation, so we got to work.

We started by stripping the room totally and patching the roof and installing a new ceiling. We made it a walk-in shower (no door or hob) frame-less glass shower panel, no bath.

The shower is hand held on a rail which also acts as a grab-rail along with a horizontal grab rail and a flick mixer, giving him easy access.

We also installed a shaving cabinet for extra storage above a new wall-hung vanity with a China top. We added a flick mixer to the vanity and all soft close doors, thus making life easier for him.

In the ceiling we fitted new 3-in-1 down-lights over vanity.

We also installed a new back-to-wall toilet (this is were you don’t see the trap or stop clock) which is now a nice clean finish with nowhere for dust to collect.

We also painted the walls (not tiled) and ceiling with a semi-gloss white to make cleaning easier.

The clients life is much so much easier now thanks to the new disable bathroom in his home in Charlestown South.
